Introduction

Homoeopathic Pharmacy is a foundational subject in the curriculum of I BHMS at CVM Homoeopathic Medical College. It provides students with essential knowledge regarding the preparation, distribution, and dispensing of Homoeopathic medicines. The subject forms a crucial base for the further study of Homoeopathic Materia Medica and Organon of Medicine, which are core components of Homoeopathic education.

At CVM Homoeopathic Medical College, the training in Homoeopathic Pharmacy is designed as a comprehensive blend of theoretical instruction and practical exposure. Students are trained in the identification and collection of raw materials, as well as in methods of preparation, potentization, standardization, preservation, and dispensing of finished Homoeopathic products.

The curriculum also encompasses an understanding of the pharmacological actions of drugs and the process of drug development, with an emphasis on a progressive approach to Drug Proving. In addition, students are introduced to the legal, economic, industrial, and clinical aspects of Homoeopathic medicines, ensuring a well-rounded pharmaceutical education.
