Department of Organon of Medicine

About the Department

The Department of Organon of Medicine forms the philosophical and scientific foundation of homoeopathic education and practice. It is dedicated to imparting a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles laid down by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, which guide rational case taking, diagnosis, and individualized treatment in homoeopathy.

The department emphasizes the integration of classical homoeopathic philosophy with clinical application, enabling students to understand health, disease, cure, and the physician’s role in a holistic manner. Teaching–learning activities focus on developing clarity of concepts related to susceptibility, vital force, individualization, drug proving, and the application of homoeopathic principles in day-to-day clinical practice.

Through interactive lectures, case-based discussions, practical exercises, and clinical exposure, students are trained to apply Organon principles in real patient scenarios. The integration of Organon with Materia Medica and Repertory fosters analytical thinking and strengthens decision-making skills essential for effective homoeopathic practice.

The department aims to nurture competent, ethical, and compassionate homoeopathic physicians who are well-grounded in the philosophy of Organon of Medicine and capable of delivering patient-centered, evidence-informed healthcare.
